My Spanish Harlem

Like a diamond lying deep beneath the surface
A hidden treasure in the midst of ruin
There, I found a special place to confide in
A place to reside in
Somewhere I could reveal my true being
Free from the judgement of society
A place of sobriety and encouragement
Completely naked and unashamed from what may be seen
Nurturing and loving you are
My Spanish Harlem

As I walked through the project hallways of your soul,
I became enticed to make a home
Here, clear from the distractions occurring around the world
You became my main focus
As potent as the aroma of the finest ganja,
Your love and originality attracted me
Causing my heart to become attached to you
So what is a man of the Lord like me to do?
Did we meet by chance?
Or was it something deeper than we can ever imagine?
My Spanish Harlem

I awake and take a glance
Peeping your early sun rise outside my window
My world began to get brighter,
The more time I spend here, the more comfortable I get with you
People want to see us destroyed
They say we "You need to get up with a baller who can flood these streets"
But Heaven knows you've never met anyone like me
I want to rebuild your projects
Clean up your playgrounds
Restore your houses that once sheltered happy couples
My Spanish Harlem

I love you

Your Only One

Your heart longs to be loved
Your lips long to be kissed
That tingly feeling you've been missing
Only one, can make you feel like this

Many have come and gone
Others regret what they've done
I'm here to bring you happiness
And be your only one

Distant Love

As I watched her from a distance,
Heart broken and confused,
I would've given anything to be standing in her shoes,
Our Hearts destined for love, Although separated by mere space and time,
I find myself reflecting on the one to be mine*
Hoping and dreaming, subconsciously pleading that the day will arrive,
When our souls will align,
And we both meet under the sun
Lip to lip, tongue to tongue.

Party Girls PT1.

Party girls are overrated
too jaded by the alcohol; music n' lights,
See you could never be wifey type,
Livin' life at the drop of a dime bc you fine,
We'll see what happens when you run outta time..

Critical Thinker

What you brush off as coincidence,
I take a closer look at
You ignore the facts,
I say "gimme that"
You think it's all good, party time
I think its a distraction, should be a crime
You tell me "just chill I'm trippin' out"
I ask "well who else is gonna speak out?"
You tell me it doesn't effect me directly
So why do I care as much?
Easy, because THEY are lying to US

Galactic Mattress

Come here girl
That body needs my attention
Kissing you from ur head to ur toes
Taking my time & do it slow
giving u the sweetest lovin your body ever received
My hands stroking ur breasts
As I ease my starship beacon into your milky way
Throttling every axis on ur mattress
I'm remaining afloat no actin just action
No life vests needed because you the only one I'm pleasin'
Let daddy work the middle while you moan and turn me on
Looking into your eyes I can see your soul
As I hold you tight and never let go.

CHANGE? (Spoken Word poem)

THEY say change gone come
But is it change for the better?
Can we really trust who's reporting the news and the weather?
Lies and deceit, politicians campaign in the name of peace
Only to find out, that they're on the same leash
You see the system's got us all boxed in
But the sword is futile when laws can change with the stroke of a pen
The rich get richer
And the poor get poorer
No co-existance when we fightin' eachother over leftovers
Meanwhile, entertainment got us all enthused
Disregarding the fact that this country is doomed
An old proverb goes "You reap what you sow"
I guess we all think it don't apply no mo'
So we keep ourselves distracted and off track to become greater than our leaders
Books go untouched
What happened to the reader?
Maybe somewhere sittin in a theater
...Watching life as THEY want you to see her
